Since 1969, La Ferme d’André has focused on the well-being and development of young people in a charming environment and surrounded by farm animals!
It is a fantastic universe for adventure, discovery, and wilderness experiences. It is a place where themed creative workshops, walks in nature with animals and educational activities come together.
It is a unique place where friendships have been formed, where moments of sharing have solidified, and where the spirit of cooperation has been nurtured over time. This enchanting setting is filled with laughter, bonfires, horseback riding, swimming, and nights spent under the stars!

Our story
The early days
André Giguère, the founder of this vacation farm, has dedicated his life to education. He began his teaching career in 1963 in the Montreal area and continued to share his knowledge with young people in the small municipality of Ormstown for many years. In 2000, he concluded his career at the Faculty of Education at the Université du Québec à Montréal, leaving with the satisfaction of a job well done.
To entertain his students, he decided to host a picnic at his farm in 1969. It was an instant hit! The children wanted to come back again and again, and stay as long as possible, to experience all the thrills and spills. Carried away by this surge of enthusiasm and joy, this great educator founded La Ferme d'André, enabling thousands of youngsters to emancipate themselves in a safe and welcoming environment.

After many years of dedication, André felt the time had come to offload some of his administrative responsibilities. In 2013, he entrusted the management of La Ferme d'André to a non-profit organization. For seven years, "Organisme La ferme d'André 1969" has continued to welcome many young people to experience unforgettable moments while developing their skills and imagination in a stimulating environment that emphasizes freedom, autonomy and initiative.
New management since 2020
No one was immune to the COVID-19 virus, which spread insidiously at lightning speed and claimed the lives of many loved ones. The organization was not spared from this global health crisis, which forced us to suspend our accommodations for children. As a result, we had no choice but to close our doors at the end of May 2020.
After months of uncertainty and numerous discussions, Mr. Giguère completed the sale of this exceptional property. He entrusted the future of La Ferme d'André to new owners who, like him, have been captivated by the farmhouse, its historic value, and the beauty of its surroundings.
La Ferme d'André now has a new image and a new management team, fully determined to carry on the work of its colourful founder.
Mylène Faucher and Richard Billette, already deeply involved in the agricultural world and always ready to take on new challenges, have put their trust in life and have chosen to make their home in this haven of freshness with the firm ambition of welcoming children, schools, parents and friends to perpetuate the legend of La Ferme d'André for many years to come!
Meet the family
Who are these new owners? Richard Billette, whose family roots are firmly planted in the region as a farmer.
His partner, Mylène Faucher, is a seasoned human resources manager eager to get involved with energy and passion in the activities of La Ferme d’André. Then there are Samuel and David, their two sons, graduates of Macdonald College in farm management, who follow in their parent’s footsteps and are brimming with ingenuity, commitment and know-how!
This energetic family has been diligently refreshing their facilities since June 2020, infusing them with their personality and breathing new life into the spaces in preparation for opening their doors.
